Going Out on a Limb

What do you want?

Who do you want apart of your journey?

What does your life get to look like?

Exploring and trying new things on in how you want to show up in the world may be new for you.

Feeling the push to do somethings differently because what you’ve been doing doesn’t feel right to you anymore.

You may be feeling the dread of driving up to where you work and you just want to scream!

You see you’re dog is nervous when you leave and is whining and barking when you’re gone and you’re also feeling anxious your neighbor is going to report you to your landlord.

Maybe you feel isolated from friends you know longer hang out with because your life has been consumed by your dog and doing all the things for him.

Maybe you’ve been feeling uneasy with friends and family recently because you notice you feel uncomfortable within these relationships because now you are starting to take notice when boundaries are being crossed.

When you ask yourself what you want, the thoughts in your head circle around about how “you can’t do this?” “How can you afford to take the leap in changing jobs/careers?” “What if they get mad when I say I need space, time or that I’m looking to make a change in my life?”

Whatever you desire, that thing you want is on the other side of these judgments and fear.

Fear is just an indicator that you’re on the edge of something you want.

It is a reaction in your body that you’re doing something which is requiring more energy, focus, attention and this disrupts your established rhythms.

Our brains love to expect the next thing and when you are going after a dream job, a change in your relationship dynamics, learning something new all of these pieces require you to act differently, feel differently, think and ultimately believe differently.

Your brain wants you to run and hide and go back to what it expects.

But what it expects isn’t working for you and you feel the fire inside you motivating you to take a step!

Take the leap and trust yourself. You know where you want to go, now its just about taking the step in that direction.

Dial in support when you feel yourself going back to the old way of doing things that is no longer working.

Ask for support when you feel confused and frustrated with your new life not happening fast enough!

Celebrate the awarenesses that show up and honor the messages they are telling you!

Feel apart of a larger community where you can feel seen and heard!

Inspired By You

Over the past couple of years, I started recognizing the limitations by being boxed in as a dog trainer or behavior consultant.

I was noticing I wasn’t just working with the person to teach their dog certain skills.

When I entered their world, I saw it wasn’t just about teaching sit, down, come or anything else.

I saw something deeper going on.

The individuals and families I serve experienced deep pain and the feelings of frustration, anger, sadness and even grief showed up again and again.

The emotional pain could no longer be ignored or avoided.

These deep feelings were influencing how the person showed up for their dogs.

They were avoidant of what their dog needed. This led to more worry and anxieties about what their dog is doing.

They felt stuck. Fearful of taking action because they were unsure if they would be successful and not doing anything gave space for their dogs to continue practicing behaviors their person didn’t want them to do.

Sometimes even, people were so angry with their dogs that yelling at their dog resulted in their dog feeling scared of their person which also led their dog doing things trying to seek out relief from the fear too.

Then pangs of guilt showed up because the person didn’t want to feel out of control anymore.

They didn’t trust themselves and therefore, they didn’t trust their dogs.

Confidence plummeted.

The cycle continued.

As I started recognizing the emotional pain the families I serve are experiencing, I started shifting gears.

In order for people to experience joy, fulfillment and ease, I was drawn into normalizing and exploring the heavy feelings while guiding them into what they desired.

As we embarked on the journey together, they started recognizing for themselves how tapping into their inner knowing, recognizing they have the power to choose how they want to feel and then taking steps with that new found energy in how they interact with their dogs.

One client recently shared with me, “Looking back on my own learning experience during these weekly sessions with Katherine, I realize that I came away with a clearer, perhaps even a new understanding-a shifting of my own perspective from what I want or how I want a dog to behave, to how any dog is merely seeking to alleviate anxieties and fears and fulfill his or her own needs just as I am, and that recognition in and of itself reveals a clear path to success.”

Boom!

What people get to receive from working with me is a greater connection with themselves, discovering they have the power to choose how they get to move in this world and by doing the inner work, they experience the joy, ease and a fulfilling life with their dogs and others around them.

They create the life they want!

The families I serve inspire me every day.

The inspiration I get to receive from their transformation propels me to change how I show up for others and how I get to impact the lives of others.

This is why I am so passionate about guiding people back to themselves so they can create the deep connections with those they care about the most.

Do you desire transformation and to begin trusting your inner knowing?

You too can shift gears and discover how a new way of living in this world can greatly impact not only your life, but the lives of people and the pets around you.

The Power of Connecting With Yourself

I received a powerful message from a participant in the Creating Resilient Relationships Workshop the other day.

She shared how powerful and integral the Body Mind Connection is with not only how she shows up for her dog, but how this has also improved her relationships with her family.

What this tells me, is that she wants more than the problem being solved for her, she wants to understand herself on a deeper level, so when the frustration and confusion shows up (it inevitable will), she has the awareness to guide her back to herself.

She desires a deeper connection with her own needs, so she can break free from the patterns of thoughts and beliefs that kept her stuck doing the same thing without getting a different result.

Those patterns and beliefs no longer serve her just like they no longer serve you.

When we reconnected again after the workshop, she shared how she no longer can remember the frustration she experienced with her dog that brought her to me because of her deeper connection she discovered she has is is with who she truly is.

I serve individuals and families who are committed to create change in their lives so they can live more freely, creatively and authentically. The people I serve desire to take action in creating connections and strengthen the relationships in their life.

I’m unlike any other dog trainer or behavior consultant. I not only can help you in understanding your dog’s unique needs, but I also guide you in deepening your awareness of how you desire to connect within the relationships in your life, including with your dog.

I work with committed individuals and families who are willing to step up and are proactive in taking inspired action. People who want more than just someone else telling them how to “fix” a problem and giving their power over. They desire to step into their own power in how they live within the relationship within themselves and those who are apart of their world. They desire to live an integrated life with their dog, their family and with their friends.

If you desire changing your relationship with your dog while creating a deeper connection with yourself, let’s chat!
